About Paul Franz, Western Mass Photography

Paul Franz is an award winning photographer who makes his home in Western Massachusetts with his two daughters. He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts with a bachelor’s degree in communications with a concentration in visual arts.

Photojournalism
Paul has been the Chief Photographer for the Recorder, recorder.com, the daily newspaper in Greenfield, MA, for over 20 years. He has done assignments for The New York Times, Boston Globe and many other periodicals as well as being a stringer for the Associated Press, providing them with images of breaking news, sports and features.

Weddings
Paul brings his years of journalism experience to his approach to wedding photography. From the bride getting ready to the last dance. Capturing images as they happen.
